PSAI COURSES

Sidemount Dive Course

The PSAI Open Water Sidemount Diving course is designed to teach divers to properly use twin cylinders in sidemount configuration for open water diving activities. It will discuss the configuration and the peripheral equipment, as well as accessories and maintenance.

Search & recovery dive course 

A Search and Recovery course teaches divers how to locate and retrieve lost or submerged objects. These courses cover search patterns, lift recovery operations.

Night dive course

The PSAI Night Diving Specialty course is designed to train divers in the benefits, equipment required, and proper procedures for diving after sunset or at night.

Limited visibility dive course

The PSAI Night Diving Specialty course is designed to train divers in the benefits, equipment required, and proper procedures for diving after sunset or at night.

Deep Dive Course

The PSAI Deep Sport Diver Program is designed for training divers who wish to dive in an open water environment to a maximum depth of 27 metres on air. This program covers the knowledge, equipment, planning, and skills necessary to perform all phases of an open water dive to a maximum depth of 27 metres. Upon successful completion of this program the diver will be qualified to make open water diver to 27 metres.

Advanced navigation dive course

The PSAI Advanced Underwater Navigation Specialty course is designed to train divers in the advanced underwater navigation and the techniques for successful underwater navigation of various closed (triangular, square, and rectangular) compass courses.

Drysuit Course

The PSAI Dry Suit Diving course is designed to train divers to properly use and care for a Dry suit. It will discuss the types of dry suits, accessories, maintenance and how to make basic repairs

ABC dive program course

The PSAI Advanced Buoyancy Control, Trim and Technique Program (PSAI ABC Program™) is designed to train divers in the benefits and proper procedures for mastering buoyancy control at all times. Upon successful completion of this course, graduates may effectively increase their comfort level and their safety by fine-tuning their trim, position, kicking techniques and buoyancy in any diving environment.

Nitrox diver course

The PSAI Nitrox Diver course is designed for divers who wish to utilize enriched air (Nitrox) at oxygen concentrations up to and including 40% oxygen by volume.

Cavern dive course

The Professional Scuba Association International’s (PSAI) Cavern Diver course is designed for those divers who wish to enter areas where direct vertical access is not possible while using proper techniques. This includes overhangs, ledges, simple openings and caverns. This course is conducted in the “daylight zone” of any solid (rock) overhead. The diver(s) shall not dive deeper than they have been previously certified. The maximum depth of this course shall be limited to 30 meters (100 feet). Maximum penetration limited to 60 linear meters (200 linear feet) from the surface. Minimum visibility 9 meters (30 feet). The entry must be horizontal; you can “walk home” to open water as opposed to a vertical entry (“chimney”) that requires a directional (navigational) decision to exit the system. No siphons are allowed.

Underwater scooter or Diver Propulsion Vehicle (DPV) diving course

 

A Diver Propulsion Vehicle (DPV) course teaches divers how to safely and effectively use a scooter or underwater propulsion vehicle to increase their underwater range and efficiency. These courses cover topics like DPV operation, maintenance, dive planning, and hazard management, enabling divers to enjoy extended dives and explore larger areas.

Underwater Photography course

An underwater photography course will teach you the techniques and principles needed to capture quality images below the surface. These courses typically involve hands-on training, theoretical instruction, and sometimes even post-processing guidance. You can learn about composition, lighting, and how to handle your camera gear underwater, as well as how to navigate the underwater environment and maintain neutral buoyancy while shooting.

Twin set dive course

Twin Set Diving Course 

The PSAI Twin Set Diving course is designed to train divers to properly use twin cylinders (doubles) for recreational diving activities. It will discuss the configuration and the peripheral equipment, as well as accessories and maintenance.

Stand up paddle  rent

An SUP paddle is used to propel the board and its use across the surface of the water. The paddle consists of a blade, shaft, and handle, and should be between 8 and 15 inches (20 and 38 cm) taller than the user. They are similar to but longer than traditional canoe paddles
